Reflection finale..

1. What I like about blogging?

When I first entered this course, frankly I didn’t know what is ‘blogging’. Then, blogging became one of the tasks that my friends and I were asked to do by Madam Foziah. There was also other course that needed us to create a blog which was Technology. So, what are the things that made me to like blogging? First is the fun that I got when I created the blog. Getting layer out, changing the fonts, putting colours made me excited in doing this stuff. I can put anything that I want such as pictures, videos, links and others in my blog. Besides, I noticed that blogging was kind of a place that you can share your thoughts, feelings and opinions about your surroundings with your friends. It was so good that you can know mostly all the things that related to educational field. My friends can give comments about my writings in the blog and we will keep responding to each other.

2. What I do not like about blogging?

Even though blogging was quite interesting, there were also several things I quite not like about it. First thing first, I have to update my blog each week. Since I am a type of person who is ‘forgetful’, I sometimes forgot to update my blog every week. Next, I actually did not really like writing. I mean, to write in a blog every week was quite boring. There was a time when I did not have any idea what to write. Sometimes, I kept writing the same things in different posts.

3. What have I gained from blogging (eg. language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.)? How?

By blogging, I think I had improved some of the language skills like writing. Maybe I do not quite like writing, but it’s undeniable that blogging helped me to write better. It trained me to find out words that were suitable to be written in my blog. Writing blog also had increased my fluency in English language. I can expand my vocabulary by reading others’ blog as well as my knowledge since maybe there are some things that my friends knew but I did not. Blogging also taught me to be more critical thinking in writing because in blog, I have to reflect and give opinions about things that were related to educational field. I too can explore other things while blogging like downloading pictures and videos; which had increased my technology skills.

4. What I like about the course?

I can gain new knowledge such as creating blog, creating a video and more. This course had made me ‘close’ with technology. It made me to be curious to explore about other things that related to technology.

5. What I do not like about the course?

Of course, piles of tasks and assignments. Sometimes, I felt that they were burdening me. I am not a techno savvy person, but the assignments leaded to that way. They made me quite stress and there were times where I did not have enough sleep. However, I took that as challenges that I must faced while doing this course.

6. What I have learnt from the course?

Of course, I had learnt a lot about technology skills and I think I had mentioned enough about that. What I want to tell is about my soft skills. From this course, I really have learnt to be patient. With lots of assignments and tasks to be handled, I had to be tolerant with myself in order to accomplish them. Other than that, it also taught me to be creative especially when I had to create the blog and build lesson plans. While writing the LPs, I had to be in the children’s shoes and this had made me to think and imagine what their interests are to provide the good teaching and learning activities.

7. What I do not expect but have learnt from the course?

Blogging. This was the thing that I did not expect but have learnt from the course. Seriously, it did not across to my mind to have learnt this stuff. I also did not look forward to have my own blog. But, creating a blog was actually fun and enjoyable except for the updating things.

8. What I expect but have not learnt from the course.

For this question, I think I had learnt all the things that I had expected. Downloading, surfing the websites, creating the videos and others, all of these were on my mind when I went through this course. So, I think I was quite satisfied with the course as I have learnt what I had expected.

9. If I can change anything about the course, I will change...

I am not quite sure what I am going to change if I am able to change for this course. In my opinion, I think I am not changing it, but maybe add or minus some assignments. Moreover, maybe this course should have 2 lecturers to handle the students because there are 78 of us and maybe by dividing them into 2 groups, this will make the class easy to be handled.

What?! An exam??????

Oh my God! Today there was an exam held for this course............actually, before this, I was so confused about the topic that will come out for this exam. I knew that Madam Foziah had told me and my friends. But, there were still confusions about that matter. At last, I had decided to read what I had heard earlier; the notes and also part of the book that we had bought. During exam, I was quite nervous as I know there might be quite tough questions. There were four questions, and some of the them were related to what I had read before. Others were questions about practical. Overall, what I can say about this exam is..well, I did my best and hope that I manage to score..:)

SOFTWARES FOR THE CHILDREN

What can I say for today was, 'quite interesting'. Mdm Foziah had divided us into several groups and distributed some of her collections on children's softwares. Next, she asked us to evaluate the softwares and tell what were the appealing matters about the them. I couldn't remember my group's title of the software, but in that software, basically there was things like games. All of the members in my group had tried the games, but for me, I did not really understand the instructions given in them. However, maybe if I was given more time to explore, I can manage to comprehend the instructions and play them.
Talking about softwares, there are many softwares nowadays that can be used as tools for teaching and learning. The aim for using these tools mostly falls on in gaining pupils' attention. However, in my point of view, teachers should know how these softwares work so that they are able to show to their pupils on how to use them.
Hopefully, with all these technology, they can help us to be better teachers in future..

Sending of the assignment...

Today, Me and my friends handed off our assignment 3, the one that we needed to create 4 lesson plans for 4 required skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Well, burning the midnight oil was the first thing I did for these piles of lesson plan (hehe..). Now, I knew that, it's not easy to create a quality lesson plan. Plus, what we have written on it could be 'changed'; which means it might be during the teaching and learning process, something could happen and it needs us to change our lesson plan. That's why, in my opinion, and I guess same goes to all of the others, backup plan is very, very important in order to cover up the teaching process. Frankly, while doing the lesson plan for 4 skills, I was not sure whether they suit the level of my pupils or not. I thought that mine were having mix level of difficulties. Even though the topic 'Glorious Food' was seen quite easy at first, but when I was in the process of creating them (LP), it was not that easy.
When I had finished doing all of that stuffs, I felt relieved but something kept wondering in my mind, 'Can all of these LPs be used in the real teaching classroom??' And I really hope the answer will be a YES. Maybe there will be some of the changes can be made to my LPs to suit the needs of learners later.

After "RAYA"..

Today, the class started as usual..looks like it's going back to 'normal'..but, still, I'm in mood of RAYA..the hol for this time was too short compared to last time..to start the class, Mdm. Foziah told about her experiences in doing a research that related to reading..well, what she told are somehow giving me ideas about the research that my group are going to do for ASSESSMENT's subject..then, she asked us to continue our ASSIGNMENT 3 in groups to fill the remaining times..I felt like this assignment is quite heavy as it requires me to do 4 lesson plans that include all skills..luckily, I've got the topic GLORIOUS FOOD (YEAR 5)..so, for me, the scope is not too big and maybe it's quite easy to find some of the materials form the internet...hopefully, I can finish this assignment and pass it on time..:)

Presentations and more tasks to be done..

Today, all the group had presented the topics they got earlier..well..good job guys..as usual, Mdm Foziah gave some tasks to be done..ermm..looks like I'm not in the mood of raya after all..huhu..with lots of tasks..I will 'berhari raya' with my laptop and 'ziarah' cc..huhu

(v_-)...ermmm...

Ermm..for today, me and my partner Sakina had handed in our Assignment 2..so as others..unfortunately, we got another assignment and this time, I think it's the toughest (others think that too I guess)..again, the assignment needs us to create lesson plan for the whole week of teaching..I've got the topic GLORIOUS FOOD (Year 5)..ermm..guess my 'stomach' is 'full' with this topic...
Next, Mdm Foziah also gave some tasks to be done in pairs and group..it's about exploring the MICROSOFT OFFICE PUBLISHER..lots of things have to be created by using this application; name cards, pamphlets, etc..I've been using this apllication before, but I've forgotten since I didn't use it and apply it..so, hopefully by adding this new experience it can help me to apply what I've learned..(^_^)

Presentations for the day..

As promised, all the groups were presenting their discussions today including my group..I was one of the presenters and yet, I was nervous when I sat in front of others even I had the presenting experience before this..however, I still try my best to give input to my friends..Alhamdulillah, they gave full cooperations while my group presenting the findings...thanx to all of you..:D

Tasks to do...

Today, beloved Mdm Foziah was not in due to her health problem..so, we had been given some tasks to do to be presented next week when she's in..the task is about 'Being Realistic'..as usual, we had been divided into groups and do the presentations in Power Point..for me myself, I've got subtopics like reuse and recycle the materials for teaching and learning process..now, I know how to reuse my teaching aids without creating the same things for several times..however, there are some methods that have to be taken into consideration while creating the teaching materials..hopefully, it can be applied soon when I go to school..:)

Piles of assignments..

Errmm...looks like there's tonnes of assignments again!Arrgghh..what's more,related to techs..which is of course is not in my field......this time, the assignment needs us to download the vids..and use the materials inside them for teaching and learning..with my partner, struggling once again to finish it...hopefully, I'll stay alive after all of these...pray for me..

When HEADACHE comes..

Well..as saying goes.."student's life is not complete without piles of assignments"..and here we are...just got TWO assignments..VIDEO EDITING (GROUP WORK) and CREATING THE VIDEO (PAIR WORK)..looks like lots you have to play with ITs stuffs..and more eyes in front of the laptop (or should I call 'INTERACTIVE SCREEN'??)..get tired but, yeah.....I'M TRYING HERE..to do the best as I can..hopefully, what I've done and learnt will be really USEFUL to me and CAN BE APPLIED in school later...what do you yhink guys??

One for all,all for one..

Once again, we were required to be in groups and made presentations. This time, it's about the children's activity and how they play with the language in it..after looking at the information given, we had summarized and as usual, put them in POWER POINT PRESENTATION. Bak acted as the leader of my group and also as the presenter for the day (hehe..sorry Bak)..overall, everything was done smoothly..and each group did their best..FANTABULOUS guys!!hihi..=)

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP..fuuhh!! Now I'll give more appreciations to those who can edit the pics by using this prog..luckily, me and some other friends managed to get help from a new 'Prof.' Khairil(eventually, he's my classmate..hehe)..he assisted us a lot in handling this Adobe stuff..thanx to you 'Prof.' Khai..by the day I wrote this, just finished mine..meaning the Adobe project..but, maybe not as good as others..it's ok..my first time..still have time to learn..and not to forget, our beloved Puan Foziah..she too help us a lot by giving us information on this prog..may ALLAH bless you ma'am..=)

Presentation..waaa..in group of 13, have to summarize and present to your friends..errmm..guess who's presenting..it's me!!hihi..take that as one of thousands rehearsals..yeahh..have to get use to presentations folks..we are going to be teachers rite?? Alhamdulillah, managed to present what my group had discussed..but still wondering..WHAT WAS IT THAT I HAD PRESENTED?? huhu...don't tell me that I was babbling out there friends...*wink*..

Starting point...

Other subject related to technos stuffs...ermmm...but it's okay...will try to manage that...even if my eyes come out from their sockets..huhu..introduced by the subject, I think there are still lots to cover up my head on technos..it's not just to find the resources, then present it in front of others...it's about giving others knowledge bout your resources too...how do you search them..how do you apply them..DOUBLE WORK here guys...but, we'll help each other right??and I think that's why we are required to be in groups...(which was quite the 'hot topic' for the day)...everyone struggles to be in their wanted groups..luckily, we could manage that..without any problems..*wink*..so, last words for this post from me, WORK HARD and COOPERATE!!daaa!!!
